convenient location, nice pool area
Hallways feature carpets taped together and could be tripping hazards!!! The room had a toilet that ran all night, heat that kicked on with a frightening noise, and weak shower water pressure.

Spoiler alert, it’s worth it!
This hotel truly shines with its excellent staff who go above and beyond, especially in accommodating guests with special needs. The clean rooms and quiet atmosphere made for a delightful stay. The breakfast options were tasty, and the location offered convenient access to local attractions and eateries, making my visit enjoyable and memorable.

Comfortable beds with nice linens.
Unfortunately, the toilet in my room ran almost all night long, which was quite disturbing. I tried to fix it by jiggling the handle, but it didn't help. Additionally, the heat made a loud bang when it kicked on, waking me up unexpectedly. To top it off, the water pressure in the shower was very weak, and the bedding seemed slightly unclean, especially the pillows.

The location is excellent, with ample parking and easy access to dining and shopping. Breakfast offered a variety of choices, including fantastic waffles and sugar-free syrup options, though items ran out toward the end. However, the AC unit was extremely noisy and disrupted sleep, and despite addressing this with the front desk, no resolution was possible due to full occupancy. Overall, the experience was marred by that issue, despite positive interactions with friendly staff.

Staying at the Hampton Inn in Ann Arbor was a mix of highs and lows. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Hector, who went above and beyond to make sure we were settled in after a long day of travel. Jose and Jeff were life-savers when my husband broke his glasses right before our son's big race. they helped us fix them and even found a place for new ones. The breakfast offered a solid variety, though some hot items could use a little improvement. The room was clean and neat, and I appreciated the comfortable bedding. However, the reservations process was frustrating. I ended up needing two rooms instead of one due to the hotel’s roll-away bed policy, which added some stress. Plus, I wish we had been informed about the pool being used by outside groups, as it was overcrowded when we wanted to use it. Despite these challenges, the friendly staff made a significant difference in our overall experience.

It was just a perfect match for strolling around in Ann Arbor with high value for money. The place was calm after 10 PM with hockey families around, which was good for resting. Just keep in mind to ask for no housekeeping if you want your things untouched.
